Customizing My Nikon D40
I’m really trying to learn my Nikon D40. So far, it’s great. (Except for the fact that you can’t get a good 50 mm lens for it—I use my old Nikkor 50 mm in total manual mode, which is fun.)
I’ve been reading up on settings (like customizing your “vivid” setting),and I’m trying and liking this:
In P-mode, set Tone -2, Saturation -1, and Color Mode to sRGB Ia. (Find these in Shooting Menu -> Optimize Color -> Custom.) Then set White Balance Auto to -2.
So far, I get great indoor colors. Pretty happy with it.
